Dorothy Kircher

Dorothy May Kircher, 80, of Maryville, died in her home on June 6, 2011.

Mrs. Kircher was born Feb. 25, 1931, in Litchfield, Ill. Her parents were William Lee Howard and Francis Mae (Chaplin) Howard. She married Delmar Kircher on Jan. 23, 1949. He died Nov. 10, 2006.

She was a homemaker and provided day care in her home. She was a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church of Maryville, Spoolin' Around Quilters, Helping Hands and Young at Heart.

Mrs. Kircher is survived by her three children, . . . [two sons and a daughter]. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, . . . . She is also survived by her two sisters, . . . . She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Kircher; brother Barry Howard and sister Elizabeth Weiss.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Laughlin-Richeson Funeral Home, 205 Edwardsville Road, Troy. The Rev. Sig Bjorklund will conduct the service. Burial will be at the Hug Cemetery in Millersburg. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's United Methodist, Maryville.
