Ruth N. Petersime, 87, formerly of Piqua, died at 6:55 pm Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Dorothy Love Retirement Community of Sidney. She was born March 25, 1924 in Piqua to the late Alfred W. and Ruth (Pearson) Cooper.

She married Dale E. Petersime March 12, 1942 in Piqua; he preceded her in death June 30, 2002.

Survivors include three sons, Edwin D. Petersime of Alabama, David C. (Rebecca) Petersime of Springfield, Martin A. Petersime of Mansfield; three grandchildren.

Mrs. Petersime was preceded in death by eight brothers and a sister.

Mrs. Petersime was a 1942 graduate of Piqua Central High School and attended Miami Jacobs College, Miami University and Edison Community College. She retired from Fifth Third Bank as a Cashier following many years of employment.

She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Piqua YWCA and the former Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #320 of Piqua.

A private graveside service will be held at the Forest Hill Cemetery with Rev. Kazy Blocher Hinds officiating. Arrangements are being handled through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
