OGDEN - Word has been received here of the death of Moroni Shipley, 86, early Weber county poineer, at his home in Los Angeles, Thursday. Mr. Shipley was born in Illinois, in 1845, and came to Utah with his parents in 1850. The father died while crossing the plains. The family settled in Riverdale where Mr. Shipley lived until five years ago when he moved to Los Angeles. Surviving are his widow and the following sons and daughters: John Shipley, Mrs. Mary Roylance, Orlando Shipley, Thomas Shipley, Dean Shipley, Mrs. Nancy Allen, and Mrs. Otis Stephens and a large number of grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 21, with interment in the Inglewood cemetery, Los Angeles.
