Anna was the daughter of Jakob Tjostorsen and Britha Nielsdtr.
She was baptised June 3, 1860.
She emigrated before 1874 when she was confirmed in the East Lemonweir Church. She was confirmed as " Anna J. Qvitenes (Tjostorsen)
She married Lars Oleson Aarhus in 1880, the very first couple to be married in the newly formed Fountain Lutheran Church in the Town of Fountain,Juneau County, Wisconsin.
They had the following children: Bertha Serine, Jakob , Jacob, Bert, Levin (Louis) and Hilda. They lost three of them as very young children, from diptheria and measles: Jakob, Jacob and Bert .
In spring of 1906, she and Lars moved to North Dakota. She died a year later.
