Opal was born in Jones Mills, Pa. She lived most of her life in Akron, Ohio and was employed at Rose Villa Restaurant for over 30 years.
Preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Margaret Tinkey; husband, Charles Ray Eutsey; brothers, Carl, Darl, and Homer Tinkey; sisters, Lillian, Emma, Alverta; and very special sister and lifelong friend, Ethel "Et" Tinkey; son, Carl; and daughter, Judy Eutsey; she is survived by brothers, Orville (Sally) and Joseph (Donna) Tinkey and sister, Ruby Layman and their families, all of Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Florence Ruttig and family of North Hampton, Ohio. Also surviving are sons, Larry (Pam), Rich (of Tennessee) Eutsey; daughter, Shirley (Manny) Smart; grandchildren, Mike (Laura), William (Brandy), Norman, Mandy, Julie, Kevin and Eric (Andrea); 18 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other friends.
Although humble, Mom and Et raised five children and helped in the growth and nurturing of several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all the staff who cared for Opal during her brief stay at Hospice Care Ctr. And very special thanks to Dr. Duane Wages and staff for many years of special care for Opal and her sister, Ethel.
A special thanks to son-in-law, Manny Smart (with whom she resided). Also thanks to grandson, Mike and nephew, Carl and family friend, Karen Moss.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial at Mount Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Victory Chapel c/o Robert Webb, 32 W. Belliste Akron, Ohio 44319, 330-644-6042.
Opal (Mom, Grandma, Mammy) was adored by her family and will be forever greatly missed. Please remember her on August 26, her birthday.
