Mansfield News, Saturday, Jan. 23 1909, page 6 -- John Au, age 56, died Saturday morning at home in Ontario, ill less than 1 week. Eldest son of Capt. Christopher Au who died about a week ago; was at his father's funeral last Monday, went home that evening and that night suffered a stroke of apoplexy; Friday pneumonia developed and death resulted. Was a Mason, member of Lodges in Ontario and Crestline; member of Methodist Church in Ontario.
