Funeral services for Leonard Brown, 78, retired grocer of Fayetteville, were held Saturday, May 4, at 2 p. m., at New Lasea Church of Christ in Maury County. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Columbia.
Mr. Brown died Thursday, May 2, in Gordon Hospital, Lewisburg, of injuries suffered during the robbery of his grocery about two years ago.
For several years, he was manager of the Columbia Produce Company in Fayetteville. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rena McGee Brown; one daughter, Mrs. George Phillips, Campbellsville, Ky.; one son, Leonard E. Brown, Pulaski; five sisters, Mrs. Roland Gooch, Nashville, Mrs. Iva Hardison, Mrs. Rees Hardison, Mrs. Johnnie Davis and Miss Ulner Brown, all of Columbia; two brothers, Massie and Allie Brown, Columbia.
