BARBER Helen M. age 90 of OKC, passed away July 1, 1985. She was born June 2, 1895 in Franklin IN, came to OKC in 1914. She was a homemaker and mother of 12 children. She was the last charter member that helped organize the South Lee United Methodist Church, was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service and Mary Martha Class at her church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; a son, Harold and daughter, Margaret; and 4 grandchildren. Survived by sons, Leon of the home, Harry of Weatherford OK and Donald of Eufaula OK; daughters, Carlene Wright, Maurine Jenson and Vinita Phelps, all of OKC, Berniece Leonard of Hesperia CA, Iris Mattila of Cloverdale CA, Bettie Satterwhite of Tulsa, Charlotte Lacey of Palo Alto CA; a sister, Bernice Priddy of Gainesville TX; 25 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren. Services 2pm Wednesday at the Colonial Chapel of Vondel L. Smith & Sons Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the South Lee United Methodist Memorial Fund or favorite charity.
