Michael Rauscher, in City Twelve Days, Dies at His Daughter's Home.
Michael Rauscher, seventy-six, of Sutton died in Lincoln at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. John Aupperle, 225 No. 32nd. He had been in Lincoln only twelve days, having come here from Sutton to spend the winter with his daughter.
Born in Russia, Mr. Rauscher came to the United States fifty-four years ago and settled at Sutton. He was a brick mason until retiring fourteen years ago. He leaves his wife, Christina, one son, Edward of Sterling, Colo., six daughters: Mrs. Aupperle, Mrs. J. H. Bender of Friend; Mrs. George Hillyer and Mrs. John E. Becker of Haxtum, Colo.; Mrs. John Hurst, Fleming, Colo.; and Mrs. Theodore Weber of Grand Island; one brother, George of Portland, Ore.; twenty-one grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The body is at Brown's pending removal to Sutton where funeral services will be held Friday. Burial at Sutton. Mr. Rauscher was a member of the First Reform Church of Sutton. He had been ill about a year.
