Russian engineer, historian and religious leader. In 1917 he emigrated to Harbin, and in 1925 he moved to France. He graduated from the Polytechnic Institute, Grenoble (1928). He worked as an engineer in Paris, in French Guinea, Africa, Spain. In 1964, he served in the United Nations (UN) in New York. From 1970 he lived permanently in the United States. Settled in Jordanville, Holy Trinity Monastery. He also served as dean at Holy Trinity Seminary. Author of "The Emperor Nicholas II, as a man of strong will," (Moscow, 1991) and "Letters from the Holy Royal Martyrs of imprisonment" (St. Petersburg, 1996).
