OBITUARY: The Milwaukee Journal, 10 Sep 1995

Glenn Bruce, age 74, of Wild Rose, formerly of Cedar Grove, died Sat. Sept 9, 1995.  Beloved husband of the late Jennie (nee Hoppe).  Dear father of Virginia (Ronald) Meerdink of Wild Rose, Wi.  Further survived by a sister-in-law, nieces, cousins and friends.

Glenn had been a 50 year member of Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons (served as Worshipful master of Cedar Grove Lodge No. 333), now merged with Ozaukee Lodge No. 17.  Life membership of Wisconsin Scottish Rite Bodies A.A.S.R. Valley of Milwaukee; Life member of Tripoli Temple-A.A.O.N.M.S. of Milwaukee.  Formerly affiliated with the First Presbyterian Church of Cedar Grove, serving as Trustee.  Currently a member of Wild Rose Presbyterian Church.  Fifty Plus years as a member of American Foundry Society.  Member of the Waushara-Wautoma Senior Citizens.  Former member of the Special Deputy Sheriff's Association of Sheboygan County.  Former owner/operator of J.M. Bruce Foundry in Cedar Grove which has been a family run business for 75 years.  He was also an avid fisherman and moose hunter.

Graveside services will be held Wed, Sep 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Greenbush Cemetery in Greenbush, WIs.  Visitation Tues evening 5 until 7 p.m. at the Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose.  Masonic services at 7 PM Tues evening at the funeral home.
