Sandra Jo "Sandy" Dearmin, 74, of Martinsville passed from this life on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at her residence surrounded by the love of her family.
Sandy was born on January 31, 1938 in Martinsville, Indiana to the late Eli "Lum" and Mabel M. (Johnson) Pearson. She spent her entire life in Martinsville and graduated from Martinsville High School with the class of 1956.
On June 3, 1961 she married James L. "Jim" Dearmin. He survives in Martinsville.
Sandy worked at Eli Lilly & Company in Indianapolis for nearly 32 years as a secretary, retiring in December 1993. When life permitted, she found pleasure in crocheting, knitting, crossword puzzles and antiques.
She is survived by a host of loving family and friends including her husband of 50 years, Jim Dearmin; two daughters, Teri Dearmin of Indianapolis and Tammy Dearmin of Martinsville; brother, James (wife, Linda) Williams of Bloomington; two nieces, Sheryl Reed and Lillian Shelton both of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Virginia Pearson Raney, Carolyn Pearson Baldwin and Betty Jean Pearson Corbett.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, February 6th from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Nebo Memorial Park Mausoleum in Martinsville.
