Everett Ervin Vogel,91,of Rock Rapids,died Tuesday March 9,at Rock Rapids Health Centre.Services will be 10:30a.m.Saturday at Peace Lutheran Church.Burial in Riverview Cemetery.Everett was born July 1,1912,in rural Rock Rapids,the son of Christian & Rose(Grieve)Vogel.He grew up on the family farm and attended country school.He graduated from Wilson High School,in Rock Rapids,in 1930.He married Neva Baustian on June 12,1938,at Peace Lutheran Church.The couple farmed near Rock Rapids for 32 years.He also worked for Phil Mogler,constructinf farm bulidings.He later worked for many years at Stewart Lumber Yard,in Rock Rapids.He was the olldest baptized member of Peace Lutheran Church,where he served as treasurer for many years.He enjoyed fishing and being a member of the Golden Age Club.Survivors include,His beloved wife of 65 years,Neva;two daughters,Janis(Larry)Finley of Sioux City,Bonnie(Don)Hoksbergen of Hull;a son Ervin(Karen)Vogel of Black Hawk,S.D.;eight grandchildren;10 greaat-grandchildren;sister,Alta Hueller of Bloomington,Minn.He preceded in death by his parents;two brothers,Virtus and Ralph;sister,Sylvia Duren;quadruple great-grandchildren.
