Victor O. Hecke, 71, of Belleville, IL, born February 6, 1941, in Belleville, IL, died Monday, February 13, 2012, at the Siteman Cancer Center, St. Louis, MO.

Mr. Hecke was a lineman, retired, from Ameren-Illinois Power Company, with 39 years of service. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 309. Victor was a member of the Mascoutah Sportsman's Club, the Waterloo Sportman's Club, and the Chip-O-Will Lodge. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Belleville, IL. Mr. Hecke was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Flora, nee Kirsch, Hecke.
Surviving are his loving wife of 38 years, Sharon K., nee Frazer, Hecke, whom he married on October 6, 1973;
a sister, Aletha (Jim) Schon of Belleville, IL;
a niece, Dianne (Joe) Stock of Belleville, IL;
a nephew, Roland (Lynn) Biehl of Smithton, IL;
great-nieces and great-nephews;
and many close friends.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Friday, February 17, 2012, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Drew Kramer officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, IL.
