Virginia Zatkoff,82, of Noblesville passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at her residence. Born Jan. 1, 1929 in Gadsden, Ala., she was the daughter of Guy Franklin and Hazel Dean (Smith) Owens.

She was a secretary for various financial institutions during her working life and a member of the Gadsden Christian Church. She enjoyed sewing and working crossword puzzles, including the New York Times Crossword Puzzles.

Survivors include her son, Thomas "Tom" Bedsole of Birmingham, Ala.; daughters, Virginia Rae Grover of South Bend and Cathy Bedsole Hans of Pensacola, Florida; brother, Merlin Owens of Hokes Bluff, Ala.; sisters, Ruth Roberts of Moody, Ala., Marguerite Bedsole of Birmingham and Elaine Allen of Pace, Fla., 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and her step-son and his wife who were also her care givers, Michael and Carolyn Zatkoff.

She was preceded in death by her son, Samuel Bedsole; and brothers Marvin Owens and Guy Owens Jr.

Funeral services will be held at a future date at Village Chapel Funeral Home at Gadsden, Ala. with burial at Forrest Cemetery also in Gadsden. Local arrangements are being handled by Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel.
