Brice W. Smith Sr., 716 Lincoln St., Monongahela died yesterday at 11a.m. in the Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was 71. Born Sept. 8, 1909 in Jefferson Borough, Allegheny County, he was the son of the late Brice and maggie cairns Smith. He spent most of his life in Monongahela. Mr. Smith was a works foreman for the Pennsylvania Railroad, retiring in 1972. He was Protestant by faith. Survivors include his widow, Rose Kozemchak Smith; two daughters, Mrs. Mario (Mildress) Ferdinando and Joseph (Margaret) Rudean, both of Monongahela; two sons, Brice Warren Smith, Jr. of Stockdale and Donald L. Smith of Monongahela; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and a brother Edward Smith of Monongahela. Friends will be received in the L.M. Frye Funeral Home, 427 W. Main St., Monongahela, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
