Mrs. Edna Griesbach, 90, formerly of R. 1, New Holstein, widow of Alfred, died Thursday evening at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility where she had lived since July 24.

A resident of the New Holstein area the past 48 years, she was born Feb. 24, 1888, in Plymouth, a daughter of Rudolph and Bertha Walschlaeger Schorer. She attended Plymouth elementary schools and Milwaukee Downer Seminary.

On Nov. 21, 1922 she was married to Mrs. Griesbach in Plymouth. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1972. Her husband died in May.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, New Holstein.

Survivors are a son, Gustave of Tallahasee, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Edward (Doris) Markwardt of Sheboygan; eight grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Four brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services were Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, the Rev. Victor H. Kuerschner, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Greenbush Cemetery.
