March 9th 1856 Clara Lizzie Born at 1/4 past 4 o'clock P. M. The 1st Daughter

July 15/57 in the Evening Clara Lizzy first walks alone and ran about for at least two hours being then 9 days less than 16 months old --

March 8th/58 heavy Snow storm 6 in Snow fell = moderated warmer immediately and in a few day, no snow was to be Seen = on the 9th of March Mrs. W - returned from Hanover where she had remained, with Clara Lizzy = very Sick = which turned to Thyphoid Pneumonia, and for three weeks struggled between life & death, and finally recovered her health * * * Clara Lizzy very feeble in health during the summer

SUMAN - On Saturday, April 13, 1935 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. A. J. Thomas, Branchville, MD., CLARA L., beloved wife of the late James L. Suman.
Funeral from the residence of her daughter on Monday, April 15, at 2 p. m. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Congressional Cemetery.
