SWEETWATER - Dr. James Walker "Jim" Brothers, 60, died Monday, March 8, 2004.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with Dr. Mark Alexander officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Shamrock Cemetery in Shamrock by McCoy Funeral Home.

Dr. Brothers was born July 24, 1943, in Shamrock. He had been a dentist in Sweetwater since 1976.

Survivors include his wife, Karen; a daughter, Sabra Bertrand of Mansfield; a son, Craig Brothers of Houston; a brother, Charlie Brothers of Austin; a sister, Julia Beck of Mesquite; and four grandchildren.
