LYLES, DONALD LEROY (DON) - age 81, of Knoxville, TN passed away on Friday, January 10, 2012. Don was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U S Army. He was the former owner and operator of Lyles Grocery. He was preceded by death of his parents Decatur and Arrie Lyles; brothers Sam, Penny, Decatur; sisters Gertrude, Nell, Jeanette, Nan, Dora Mae and niece Judy. Survived by his son, Donald William Lyles and his wife Della; grandson, Malachi James; sister-in-law, Mildred Lyles; nephews, Col. Sammy Lyles and his wife Wanda, Dr. George Webber and his wife Opal; nieces, Nancy Cross and husband Jack, Donna Hawkins, Bobbie Thomas and husband Herb; ex-wife and best friend, Wilma Lyles and step-son Butch Pearson. Family and friends will gather at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18th at Woodlawn Cemetery for graveside services with full military honors conferred by the East Tennessee Veteran Honor Guard.
