Inscription
Etta's memorial, according to the Smithsonian, was fabricated by the Muldoon Monument Company in 1911. Her birth year is highlighted with a star and her death year is punctuated with a cross.
In the 1940's the monument was encased in a glass dome. Once broken, the covering was never replaced. The sculpture is Italian marble on a granite base. The inscriptions are as follows: (On west side:) Etta Grigsby Partee, 1884-1911 (On east side:) Warm summer sun shine brightly her/Warm southern wind blow gently here/Green sod above lie light lie light/ Good night dear heart, good night, good night.
