Survivors include: 1 daughter, Kathy and Steve Chipman; 3 sons, Terry Black and Laurie, Dwayne Black and Catherine, Jim and Melissa Black, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Lewis Otis Black; Willis Valmore Black, James Vernon Black; 1 sister, Dolly Arends.
He served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by the railroad for 44 years, retiring with special recognition. He was a hard worker and great example. He loved animals and the outdoors. He enjoyed talking with people. He loved his family and saw that we had vacations filled with fun. We spent hours visiting relatives and developed a bond of love with them. He was a great husband, father, brother and son. We loved him very much and we will miss him.
