To the Husband, Son, Mother, Sisters and Brothers:

Since it has pleased our Heavenly Father to call from our midst one whom we loved, Mrs. C.C. Caldwell, a true Christian, a faithful, loving wife, mother, daughter and sister; one who was always cheerful and lovable; therefore be it.
Resolved, First, That we extend our heartfelt sympathy to the grieving husband, son, parents, sisters and brothers in this dark hour of affliction. May our Heavenly Father comfort and sustain you in our sorrow.
Second, That we a Christians will always remember and strive to follow her example of patience and true loyalty to her every Christian duty.
That a copy of these resolution be sent to the family. One to the Bridgeport Index for publication, and a copy be spread upon the minutes of the Bridgeport Methodist Sunday School by Committee.

A precious one from us is gone,
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in her home,
That never can be filled.
God is His wisdom has recalled
The bloom His love has given
And through the body slumbers here.
Her soul is safe in Heaven.

Mrs. J.J. Hines
One of the Committee.
