Funeral Rites for Edward H. Tucker,62,Held Saturday

Funeral services for Edward Houston Tucker were held at the Columbus Funeral Home Saturday at 3 p.m.,with interment in Odd Fellows Rest,the Rev.J.K. Ridgway officiating.

Mr.Tucker died Tuesday of a heart attack at his home place northwest of Glidden.He was born on September 15,1882,in Union County,Miss.,a son of Newton and Jennie Major Tucker.The family moved in 1900 to Williamson county,Texas.On December 20,1905,he was married in Jacksonville to Miss Clara Wheeler.They moved to Colorado County in 1913 and have occupied their present home since 1915.Mr.Tucker was engaged in farming but his favorite hobby was hunting,especially for deer.He was a member of the Baptist Church and had served on the Glidden school board for many years.

Pallbearers were Jesse Wegenhoft,Owen Miller,Percy Obenhaus,W.L. Lawrence,Emil Richter and Tye Holman.
