HANNIBAL - Elizabeth (Liz) Diehl, 84, of Hannibal, died at 11:50 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Grand View Funeral Home. The Rev. James Bruns will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Diehl was born May 9, 1917, in Monroe City to Charles and Louisa Houghton Umstattd.
She was married to Ferdinand Diehl on Sept. 11, 1977, in Hannibal. He preceded her in death Sept. 13, 1979.
Survivors include three daughters, JoAnn Zinn of Hannibal, Frances Whitecotton of Kansas City, Kan., and Donna Adam of Quincy, Ill.; one brother, Charles Umstattd; seven grandchildren, including Michelle McSparen of Hannibal; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Umstattd and Francis Umstattd; and two sisters, Laura Umstattd and Stella F. Culver.
Mrs. Diehl was a member of Fifth Street Baptist Church, Hannibal Regional Hospital Auxiliary, Beth-Haven Auxiliary and Hannibal Garden Club. She was president of the Garden Club from 1986 to 1988 and from 1993 to 1994. She also had served on the Continental Cement Co. (CAP) Advisory Panel.
Memorials may be made to Hannibal Regional Hospital Auxiliary or Hannibal Garden Club.
Pallbearers will be Gene Zinn, Lorin Meyer, Donald Fugate and Ryan Bland.
