He was born Mar. 23rd, 1885 near Smithville, Miss. He was a member of the General Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Madeline Gallahar, Mrs. Dean Hublick and Mrs. Ava Nell Hunt, all of Pontiac, Mich., and Mrs. Ozella Johnson and Mrs. Rosa Lee Landers, both of Poplar Bluff; two sons, Erie Pierce of Memphis, Tenn., and Obie Pierce of Steele; three sisters, Mrs. Kathleen Satterwhite and Lish Latham, both of Smithville, Miss., and Mrs. Zenie Holloway of Hamilton, Miss.; 26 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
