Lena's Obituary is in my files, it reads:
Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Dumler, 86, early day Russell Co. resident who died at Canon City, Colorado, at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, were held at Deines Bros. funeral home Wednesday afternoon, with Re. E. H. Thomas of St. John's Lutheran church officiating. Burial was in the Russell Lutheran cemetery.
Mrs. Dumler's death followed a long period of ill health. She was born April 13, 1861, in Germany and came to this country when 18 years of age. She lived in this community for some years. The family moved to Oklahoma 34 years ago and they lived at Canon City three years with a previous residence in Colorado Springs.
Surviving are the husband, Fred Dumler, and five children; Carl Groff of Bay City, Mich., Henry Liggonstaffer of Kiowa, Mrs. Lena Alberding and Mrs. Mollie Gelvin of Canon City and Fred Dumler of Burlington, Okla."
(Note: Per her great granddaughter, Kathy Dumler Orr, the two girls were John Frederick Dumler's daughters. Henry Liggenstoffer was the son of Magdalena and Henri Liggenstoffer. Henri Liggenstoffer died shortly after the birth of his son, Henry. Carl Groff was born in Germany and his father is unknown.)

The Death Records of St. John's Lutheran Church in Russell, KS (a copy is in my files) show that: "Lena Dumler, born 13 April 1861, died 18 May 1947, buried 21 May 1947".
