WINCHESTER, Ind., March 23. Last night about 11 o'clock Mrs. Joseph Puckett, wife of Joseph Puckett, a wealthy and highly respected citizen of this city, died suddenly while in bed, to which she had retired feeling unusually well, after a call on friends In the evening. The cause of her death was apoplexy, from which she had before suffered four strokes. Mrs. Puckett was the daughter of Jacob and Margaret Muckey, and was born at Rome. N. Y. June 4, 1830. She came with her parents to this county when but a child, and has resided here ever since. For over twenty years, on account of poor health, Mr. and Mrs. Puckett spent their summers at Excelsior, Minn., where they possess an elegant summer home. Gilbert Muckey. of Altoona, Kan.: Harrison, George and James Muckey, of Triplet, Mo.; Milton Muckey, of Delano, Minn.: Mrs. William Modlin, of Kokomo, and Mrs. Christian Huffman, of this county, are the surviving brothers and sisters of the deceased.
