Ransom Eaton was born March 10, 1895 at Red Star, the son of Randolph and Mary Jane Eaton. He was a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church. He died at his home, on Route 7, after a brief illness.

At the time of his death, Mr. Eaton was survived by his widow, Mary; five sons, Iva, Glenn, Cecil, Arliss, and Lynville; three daughters, Mrs. Melbra Parker, Mrs. Vema Burch, and Mrs. Viola McClure; four brothers, Luther of Weathers, Bill and Fred, both of Kingston and Carl of Huntsville; and two sisters, Mrs. Nanny Ahart of Yakima, Wash. and Maryetta of California.

Funeral was held at Mt. Olive Church with the Rev. Jack Drake officiating. Interment in Mt. Olive Cemetery under the direction of Nelson's Funeral Home.
