Ray Hibbert, age 56, of Knightstown, died on Monday, August 9, 2010, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. Born on July 13, 1954, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Donald and Elizabeth (Myers) Hibbert. He graduated from Scecina Memorial High School in Indianapolis in 1972 and married Theresa Addair on September 25, 1982. Mr. Hibbert worked for Carpenter Technology in Indianapolis for 22 years before retiring in 1996. He loved fishing, golfing, and camping.
Surviving him are his wife, Theresa Hibbert of Knightstown; sons, Ray, Nathan, Anthony, and Adam Hibbert; brothers, Donald J. (Connie) Hibbert, Jr., Stephen A. (Becky) Hibbert, Ed. L. (Debbie) Hibbert, and Mark R. (Paula) Hibbert; and sisters, Barbara K. Schrader, Nancy R. (Dave) Nemecek, Theresa M. Welhoelter, and Phyllis J. Trowbridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Elizabeth (Myers) Hibbert; brother, Ronald Joseph Hibbert; and sister, Jacqueline Sue Hibbert.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, August 12, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary. Pastor Maureen Baker will be officiating. Burial will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
