Mary Wilcox Cottrell was born in Allegany county, N. Y., April 6, 1823, and died at North Loup, Neb. Jan. 23, 1903.
She was married to Benjamin Cottrell and in 1847 moved to Wisconsin, where they lived in various places till the death of Mr. Cottrell, which occured July 18, 1877. In June of the following year, she moved to North Loup, Neb. where the remaining years of her life were spent. Six of her ten children are still living to mourn her death. When living in Allegany Co., she united with the First Alfred Church from which she never transferred her membership. She maintained her Christian and denominational faith and died trusting her Savior. A. B. P.
