William Paley Coon married 26 Dec 1889 in Hunt County, TX, Miss S.J. Heavin (this is the way it was spelled on marriage certificate and on her death certificate.) She was Susan Jane Heavin, daughter of a James and M. Emma Heavin from Wayne Co. Kentucky.
1900 the couple were living in Kaufman County, Texas farming beside his own parents and had two children.
1910 he was living in Wilbarger Co TX working as a general carpenter with wife Susan born KY, widowed mother in law 70 yr old Emma, sister in law Thessa, age 25 born TX and their own three children: Robert 19, Ada Belle 12, son Willie age 3.
His wife Susie died Feb 12, 1916 at age only 47 from stomach cancer. At the time of her death she had been living in Quanah, Hardeman Co TX for four months.
