Sven "Herbie" Johnson of 55 Vale St, died in Rutland Heights Hospital. He was born in Worcester, son of John A. and Olga C (Westland) Johnson. He was a lens maker at Bausch and Lomb in Worcester. Mr. Johnson was a member of Worcester County Chapter of Laymen's Retreat League, St. Stephen's Men's Club and a former member of the Holy Name Society of St. Paul's Cathedral.
He leaves his widow, Elizabeth T (McGinnis) Johnson; two sons, Robert M and Patrick Johnson, both of Worcester; four daughters, Jennie M, wife of Jacob Goparian, and Misses Christine C, Margaret R, and Paula L Johnson, all of Worcester. He also leaves four brothers, Arthur A, of Auburn, Arnold O, John E, and Walter R Johnson, all of Worcester; a sister Alice M, wife of Lionel Beauregard of Marlboro; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral Mass was held at St. Stephen's Church with burial at St. John's Cemetery.
