Helen Delores Benson Poulson passed away peacefully on February 6, 2012 in West Valley City. She was born in Vernon, Utah on November 18, 1925 to Albert L. and Dorothy M. Alvey. She married John Poulson; later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Helen was the third youngest of eight children. After the passing of their father, the family moved to Magna, Utah where she attended school. Eventually she ended up residing in Magna were she cultivated many life-long friends.

Helen had a very affectionate smile and anyone who knew Helen had an instant bond of friendship. Helen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Helen will be greatly missed by her extended family and those lives she touched over the years.

Preceded in death by husband John; parents, Albert and Dorothy; and siblings, Ralph, Emma, Lee, Leonard, Boyd and Earl. Survived by several nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to "Cathy" at Rocky Mountain Hospice for her tender loving care towards Helen. Sincere thanks to the staff at Rocky Mountain Care Center for the dignity and love that was shown towards Helen.

A viewing will be held in her honor on Friday, February 10, 2012, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street. Murray, Utah. Graveside services will begin at 1:00 p.m. at Sandy City Cemetery, 700 East 9000 South, Sandy, Utah.
