Jeanne B. Kettering, 86, of 41 Black Oak Dr., Lancaster, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Orion and Leah McCoy Kauffman. She was the wife of the late J. ­Walter Kettering who died in 2005. They were married 56 years. Mrs. Kettering worked as a secretary in the music department of Franklin and Marshall College.

A member of the New Life Assembly of God where she played organ for many years, Jeanne enjoyed travel, camping and music.

Surviving are: three sons, John W. Jr. husband of Patricia Brubaker Kettering, Lancaster, Richard husband of Christine Martin Kettering, Leola, The Rev. Jeffrey husband of Robin Sweetman Kettering, Newville; six grandchildren, Chad, Daniel, Timothy, Peter, Michael, Cynde Kettering; a great-grandchild, Tyler Kettering; a brother, Richard Kauffman, Lancaster. A brother, Kenneth Kauffman, and a sister, Molly Hollinger, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola with a viewing from 10-11 a.m. Interment: Conestoga Memorial Park.
