At the time of her 19 October 1897 marriage to Thomas Moriarty, she was 32 years old, a Catholic, born in Winchester, Ontario, Canada, and a spinster at the time of her marriage. (marriage record)

Emma reported in the 1920 census that both of her parents were of French-Canadian orgin.

She is buried in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Seattle (near the University of Washington). The cemetery address is 5041 35th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98015-3152 and the telephone number is 206-522-0996. She is buried in Section 4, lot 1, grave site 19. This section is two thirds the way up 30th Avenue Northeast on the West side of the cemetery. This park-like cemetery rests on a hillside overlooking University Village and Husky Stadium. With beautiful statues, shrines, monkey puzzle trees, and section of humble graves for the Sisters of Charity of Providence, it's no wonder it's become a popular place for a stroll.

She has no marker but her grave location was pointed out by
the cemetery staff member on duty that day.
