David E. Rarden, 80, of Kirkersville, Ohio, died Tuesday at Veterans Hospital, Dayton, Ohio, where he had been a patient three months.

Mr. Rarden was a Veteran of World War I, and a member of the Liberty Union Veterans of Foreign Wars and Milon Edward Rarden Post of the American Legion in Kirkersville.

Mr. Rarden leaves his wife, Dollie; two daughters, Mrs. Wayne White, Newark, Ohio and Mrs. John White, Millersport, Ohio; three brothers, Hollie and Okay of Akron, Ohio and Ordell of Spencer, West Virginia; three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Nichols, Coolville, Ohio, Mrs. Edna Shockley, Ravenswood, West Virginia and Mrs. Sylvia Elkins, Ashford, West Virginia.

Funeral Saturday 1:30 p.m. Kirkersville Baptist Church, Rev. Paul Simpson officiating; burial Kirkersville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Emerson Funeral Home anytime. The body will be moved to the church at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

OBITUARY :
DAVID E. RARDON, 69, farmer and veteran of World War I, died Tuesday night in Veterans Administration Hospital, Dayton area, where be bad been a patient two months.

Born April 30, 1893, in Ravenswood, W. Va., he was the son of W. H. H. and Sarah (Derenberger) Rardon. He was overseas nine months during World War I, and was member of Miton Edward Rardon Post, American Legion, Kirkersville.

He leaves his widow, the former Dollie Bosworth; two daughters, Mrs. Wayne White of Newark and Mrs. John White of Millersport; also four grandchildren; three brothers: Hollie and Okey of Akron and Ardell Rardon of Spencer, W. Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Nichols of Coolville, Mrs. Edna Shockey of Ravenswood and Mrs. Sylvia Elkins of Ashford, W. Va. The body was moved to the Emerson Funeral Home in Kirkersville. Arrangements are incomplete.
