His obituary in the Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, Ohio, Friday, August 4, 1911.

Bert Albaugh died Sunday evening at his home in Loudon Twp., where he had been critically ill for six months. His remains were buried at Kilgore, Tuesday. He had been attending Scio College but was compelled to give it up on account of his health. He was a very apt scholar and one of the best mathematicians in college, and had served several years as school teacher. He was married to Blanche Karns but she died several years ago, leaving one child. His age was about 28. Well loved and highly respected, and with promise of a useful life his early death causes more than a passing regret among friends.
