LaRee Morrell Miller – resident of Pleasant View – passed away February 9, 2012. She was born December 7, 1932 in Tabiona UT, to Hiette Allen and Ruby Lazenby Morrell. She was the 10th of 11 children. She was raised in Ogden, and attended Ogden City Schools, graduating from Ogden High in 1951. She married Albert Ellsworth Miller III in the Salt Lake Temple on January 14, 1952. Together they had 5 sons and 1 daughter.
LaRee was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with an unwavering testimony of our Savior and the truthfulness of the gospel. This she eagerly shared by both example and precept. She loved people and considered it a great privilege to share with them the beliefs that had blessed and enriched her life. After retirement, Al and LaRee served 3 missions, Texas Dallas, Mormon Battalion Visitors Center and the Addiction Recovery Program. She also served as an ordinance worker in the Ogden Temple.
LaRee is survived by her husband, Albert; sons, Drew (Kathy) – South Weber, Glenn (Mary) – North Ogden, Neil (Melanie) – South Weber, Mark (Andrea) – Kaysville and daughter, Kestin (Quinn) Erickson – Pleasant View; 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one dear sister, Gwen Neugart and countless nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Scot Ellsworth Miller, and siblings, Silas, Arlin, Ila, LaVee, Eva, Twila, Merrill, Daughn, and Lonnie.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2012 at the Pleasant View South Stake Center, 3602 N. 500 W. Friends may call on Sunday, February 12th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington and on Monday at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.
All of LaRee's brothers and sisters have passed on and are now joined together in an Eternal family unit with their parents Hiette and Ruby (Lazenby) Morrell.
