Lawler Rites Held Monday
Final rites were held on Monday afternoon of this week from the Church of Christ for Clarence Everett Lawler, prominent Anacortes business man who died suddenly last Friday morning at his home in the city following a heart attack.
The deceased was in business on the south side for many years. He was a prominent member of the Eagles lodge of Anacortes, a former city council-at-large and former president of Marineers' Pageant Incorporated a Civic enterprize here.
He was born on December 12, 1881, in Schuyler County, Illinois, and had resided here for some twenty years. He retired from business about a year ago due to failing health.
Surviving relatives include his widow, Virgie; four daughters, Mrs. Andy Bodnar of Anacortes, Mrs. G. F. Wiggins of Seattle, Mrs. C. W. Livingston of Tacoma, and Mrs. Alvin Tate, of Salem, Oregon.
The Rev. G. B. Schmid officiated at the final rites.
