Janet Joyce Dozier, 81, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, from the complications of heart disease. A private graveside service will be held at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco.
A native Texan, Janet was a 1963 magna cum laude graduate of Baylor University, a Baylor Beauty of 1949, a 1948 graduate of Waco High School, a member of Austin Avenue Methodist Church and the Waco Historical Society. For the past three and a half years, Janet and her faithful companion, Happy Good Dog, resided in South Hadley, Mass., finding love and joy with the members of her daughter's family, Cynthia, Paul, Ben and Peter Lambert.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William J. "Buzz" Dozier III; her son, William J. "Buzzy" Dozier IV; and her parents, William Tilman and Hertha Mela (Kuehl) Albritton.
Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Lambert and family.
