CLYDE PROPST DIES IN NATIONAL CAPITAL
Mr. Clyde Propst, son of Mr. and Mrs. N.W. Propst, who live near Killians school house, died in Washington, D.C., yesterday morning after a brief illness with spinal meningitis. The parents received a letter from him Friday in which he stated that he was perfectly well. On Sunday they received a telegram from another son, Latta Lee Propst, saying that his brother was ill, and this message was followed by another Monday informing them of his death.
He was employed in the White House lunch room in Washington and just returned to Washington a month ago. He had lived in Washington before, but returned in the spring to assist with the crops.
The body will arrive tomorrow morning and the funeral will be held from New Jerusalem church by the Rev. W.W. Rowe of Hickory.
The entire community sympathizes with the bereaved family.
