Health Trip in Vain.
Mrs. Cora Burton, who went to Rodio, New Mexico, about five weeks ago for her health, died there Saturday of tuberculosis. On Saturday a letter was received by her family here in which she stated that she was doing nicely and improving, and a few hours later a telegram reached them that she had become worse and had passed away. The remains will reach here tonight or Saturday morning and will be taken to the home of her brother, Mr. G. M. Carr, on the Danville pike. The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Christian church, of which she was a member, conducted by the pastor, Rev. R. N. Simpson. Mrs. Burton is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Carr, several brothers and two children, Mr. Dwight Burton, of Toledo, O., who came here on receipt of the news of his mother's death, and one daughter, Miss Louella Burton.
