The above named died at his late residence on West Woodbury street Thursday afternoon at 5:20 o'clock, aged 65 years, 2 months and 20 days. His disease was dysentery with complications. Funeral services were held at the late residence Saturday morning at 9 o'clock.
Deceased was born at Burksville, Ky., April 19, 1830. At the age of 8 years, with his parents, he moved to Marrowbone, Ky., living there until he was 23 years of age, when he moved to McDonough county and has made his home here ever since. About 10 years ago he moved to this city. He was married to Miss Ellen Riggs. Five children were born to them, all of which are still living. They are Mrs. Wiley Miller, Mrs. Dudley Riggs [sic], Mrs. Geo. Johnson, and Laura and Dollie. He was a quite [sic], unobtrusive man that was well-liked by all that knew him.
