Theodore Raymond (Ted) Larson, 62 year old former Burley resident, died Tuesday (5 Dec 1967) at this Twin Falls home of an apparent heart attack.
He was born March 28, 1905, at Marion near Oakley and attended elementary school in Burley and high school in Boise. He served a mission for the LDS Church in the Northern States during 1926 and 1927, after which he attended a radio trade school in Los Angeles.
On Aug. 19, 1931, he married Mary Ellen Harding in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He held many church positions, including MIA superintendent, Sunday School superintendent and the Seventies Quorum secretary. He was a high priest at the time of his death.
In March 1943 he moved from Burley to Twin Falls where he farmed and had a dairy herd. Mr. Larson alsow owned and operated a combination grocery store and garage in Twin Falls near the hospital. It was called "Larson Truck Stop," during 1947-48.
In 1950 he purchased the "Brake and Petroleum" business in Twin Falls.
Survivors include his widow, Twin Falls; five sons, Kay R. Larson, Pomona, Calif., Karl D. Larson, Boise; Gale H. Larson, Twin Falls; Garth R. Larson, Salem, Ore., and Lyle T. Larson, Provo, Utah. Also surviving are five brothers, Clifton Larson, Frank Larson and Charles Larson, all Burley; Eldon Larson, Lewiston, and Junior Larson, Medford, Ore. Three isters also survive him, Mrs. Isaac (Pearl) Lee, Burley; Mrs. Pauline Coltrin, Caldwell and Mrs. Alice Kaggie, Brea, Calif.
Funeral sevices were held Friday (8 Dec 1967) morning at the twin Falls Stakehouse with Bishop Orval Thompson of the Twin Falls Seveth Ward Officiating. Final rites were held in Sunset Memorial Park Twin Falls.
