Jacob Jr was the son of Jacob & Mary Messner Euler, Sr. He married Augusta Wallener on April 28, 1892 in Fond du Lac Co, WI.

DIES FOLLOWING A LINGERING ILLNESS

Jack Eilers, 69 years old, 397 Bowen street, died this morning at 4:15 o'clock at his home, after a lingering illness.
He was born Dec 16, 1862, at Buffalo, N.Y., came to Oshkosh as a boy and lived here approximately 60 years. He was a carpenter-contractor for many years and for the last 10 years was employed as house carpenter at the Athearn Hotel.
He is survived by his widow; one daughter, Lillian; two sons, Norman and Raymond Eilers; one sister, Mrs. Eugene Schickendantz; and two brothers, John and Edward Eilers, all of Oshkosh.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home, with burial at Riverside cemetery. Rev E.J. Elbert of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. The body will be at the home from Saturday afternoon to the time of the services.
