John W. Springborn, 78, of 514 W. Jefferson av., Naperville, died yesterday in Edward hospital in the suburb. Mr. Springborn, retired since 1960, was superintendent of the Naperville street department for 25 years. He is survived by his widow, Mary; four sons, Lawrence, Glenn, Howard, and Donald; a stepson, Charles Schumacher; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Emma Konicek; a sister, Mrs. Magdelene Gould; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel at 44 S. Mill st., Naperville.
