Sara Elizabeth Warner, age 99, of Carrollton, died Tuesday morning June 15, 2004 in Sunnyslope Nursing Home in Bowerston following an extended illness. She was born May 24, 1905 in Louden Twp., Carroll Co., daughter of the late Edward and Mary Ann Wrikeman Albaugh. Elizabeth was a member of the Kilgore United Methodist Church. She was a waitress at Miller’s and the Virginia restaurants for many years. She loved spending time with her family and was an avid bowler. Her husband of 53 years, Jess Warner, who she married in September 1922, preceded her in death on September 5, 1975. Three brothers, John, Harry and Thomas Albaugh are also deceased. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and Gayle Stewart of Carrollton; two grandchildren, Robert and Nancy Stewart of Carrollton, Janet and Tom Litzenberg of Carrollton; four great-grandchildren, Sean and Danelle Litzenberg, Amy and Rusty Waring, Robert Jr. and Charity Stewart, Lee Ann and Jason Lindenbaum; three great-great-grandchildren, Abigayle, Ian and Aidan. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home at Carrollton with Rev. James Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Kilgore Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 11 a.m. until service time.
