Gladys Adeline Peebles was born in Braggs, I.T., to William Peebles and Emma Atchison (both buried at Citizens) ; she had 8 siblings: one half-sister, Julia Ann Peeples Raley (mother Stella Thornton Sundberg)(buried at Citizens); siblings (mother: Emma Atchison, buried at Citizens) John E., Lula Mae Peebles McLain, Flo, Leroy, and Claude S. Peebles, and Willie H. Peebles (all buried at Citizens), and Jessie Peebles.

She married in Braggs on 6 Oct 1922, Lloyd Clinkenbeard (buried at Citizens); they had 11 children: Ray b. 1923 (buried at Citizens), Lois b. 1924, Leroy b. 1926; Christine b. 1928, Everett b. 1930, Donald b. 1932 (buried at Citizens), Bonnie b. 1935, Patricia b. 1938, Johnnie Sue b. 1941, Billy Ray Clinkenbeard b. 1944, and Steve b. 1952.

Gladys was a homemaker and also worked at Camp Gruber for a number of years as well as the Bush Cannery in Muskogee, OK, for about 25 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ft. Gibson.
