DAVID E. McPHERSON, 90, of Bartlett, agriculture teacher at Bartlett High School for 45 years, died Monday at Methodist Healthcare-University Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memorial Park. He was a World War II Navy veteran, a charter member and first president of Bartlett Lions Club, a former alderman for the City of Bartlett, a former director of the Mid-South Fair, a graduate of University of Tennessee and an elder at Lindenwood Christian Church. He officiated at Memphis-area high school football and basketball games for 30 years. Mr. McPherson was the husband of Ethel Elam McPherson.
